If you want to venture outside the resort, you can explore historic Dubuque and its visually impressive bluffs. You can also visit the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium or take a ride on the Spirit of Dubuque, a historical replica paddleboat.     Bridges Bay Resort

    • Bridges Bay Resort is located between East Okoboji Lake and West Okoboji Lake, in Arnolds Park, Iowa. The resort features lake-view and lakefront residences with two or three bedrooms and a range of amenities. The Bracco Waterfront Cafe is open from mid-May to late September, and it offers full food service and a full bar. Bridges Bay also has Boji Splash Indoor Waterpark and Crazy Parrot Cantina Snack Bar to ratchet everyone's enjoyment to a maximum level. You can take a ride out on one of the lakes on the Queen II Excursion Boat, or visit the local Maritime Museum.     King's Pointe Waterpark Resort

    • King's Pointe Waterpark Resort is set in Stormy Lake, Iowa. It features two amusement-packed water parks, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor water park is 20,000 square feet, and it features three large water slides, a climbing wall and a water channel you can float in. The outdoor water park has one- and three-meter diving boards, lily pad walk, six lap lanes and kiddie slides. The resort features live music every Friday and Saturday night, and free family-oriented games. Dining options at King's Pointe include the Regatta Grille, a lakeside restaurant featuring a wood-fire grill, and the Sara Lee Snack Shack, where you can refill after a hard day's play at the park. The surrounding area of Stormy Lake has many attractions, including sailboat regattas, a Fourth of July celebration, golf and the Living Heritage Tree Museum.
