  The town of Bandon is located along the Southern Oregon Coast where the Coquille River and the Pacific Ocean meet. The town offers coastal shops and restaurants and located just minutes away is a golf haven with several public golf courses to choose from. The scenery you will find is similar to the scenery in Scotland, where the game of golf was born. The ocean weather and winds can provide a great challenge on the links.
  
  

Bandon Crossings

• Bandon Crossings is an 18-hole golf course located on Highway 101 just five miles south of Bandon, Oregon. The area is described as the "banana belt" in Oregon with mild weather coming off the Pacific Ocean and scenic landscapes. The course has natural dunes and some flat areas that can make this a challenging course. Public golf packages start at just $35 (as of June 2010) per play depending on the season; you need to check their website for current pricing. You can walk the course or rent a golf cart. The course offers you group rates and private lessons from PGA golf professionals. They offer a place to stay overnight located on the Bandon Crossing driving range called the At Home on the Range, which is a six-bedroom guest house with a loft that will comfortably sleep nine people.

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

• Bandon Dunes Golf Resort offers four different golf courses for you to play. The courses were designed with the golf courses of Scotland in mind. The courses sit alongside the Pacific Ocean off the Southern Oregon Coast and offer versatile landscapes of rugged terrain and sweeping hills along the sand dunes. You have your choice of the Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails and Old Macdonald courses. Greens fees start at $75, as of June 2010. Accommodations available range from an Inn on the property to cottages located just off the resort. On site are restaurants, lounges and golf shops. The resort is only a five minute drive from the town of Bandon.

Old Bandon Golf Links

• If you are looking for a short nine-hole course, the Old Bandon Golf Links is the public golf course to visit. The course was originally built in 1927 and remodeled and reopened in 2009. They offer a variety of rates from walk on rates starting at just $18 for nine holes of golf (as of June 2010). Push carts and power carts are available to rent. A golf shop and clubhouse called The Niblick, that has an indoor dining area and pub, are located on the premises. The course is located just a short drive from Old Town Bandon. You can enjoy a little history by using their hickory golf clubs and authentic period golf balls like those used in the 1880s.
