How to Open an iPod Touch Case
- 1). Set the iPod Touch down on a flat surface. You'll need a table where you can sit and have plenty of room to work.
- 2). Run a dull knife along the sides of the iPod. Loosen the binding that holds the two pieces of the case together.
- 3). Keep a corner of the knife between the two pieces to pull them apart at one end. Place the end of a screwdriver in on the same side at the other end and pry the case open.
- 4). Continue working along the sides of the case with the knife and screwdriver. Once you hear a pop near each corner, pull both tools out and hold the case apart with your hand.
- 5). Pull the case apart gently with your two bare hands. After a few minutes it should come apart.
- 6). Remove the battery by slowly prying up the corner with a knife or a flat object. After one corner comes loose, it should come up. It's only held in place by three pieces of tape.
