Apple One MP3 Instructions
- 1). Install the iPod software on your computer by inserting the iPod CD into your disk drive. Part of the software is iTunes. Since the iPod Shuffle is the first Apple iPod release, the software might be outdated. Once the CD is installed, log on to the iTunes website to update the software for the newest release.
- 2). Plug the iPod Shuffle into your computer using the USB cable. Wait until your computer acknowledges the device.
- 3). Open iTunes and let the program find your iPod Shuffle. It appears in menu on the left side. Click "File" in iTunes and click "Add Folder to Library." Select your music folder, where all of your music files are stored. Wait for the selections to automatically import into iTunes.
- 4). Highlight the songs you want to import to your iPod Shuffle in your iTunes Library by clicking "Ctrl" and your left-mouse button simultaneously. When done, drag the collected files to the iPod Shuffle icon on the left-hand menu. When a frame is made around the Shuffle icon, release the button and let the import begin.
- 5). Wait until all of the songs have been imported to your iPod Shuffle to press any other key. If it freezes during the process, you may have to start over.
- 6). Let the battery charge completely before ejecting the iPod Shuffle from the computer. The battery charges through the computer power, so do not detach the USB cable. The battery light shines amber when charging and green when it is fully charged.
- 7). Eject the iPod Shuffle from the computer by pressing the "Eject" icon next to the iPod Shuffle in the iTunes menu.
- 8). Play the music on your iPod Shuffle once the battery has changed completely. Use the play, forward, backward and pause button to decide your music choices.
