Running your own business is tough, so take all the help you can get to make sure that you are successful and reap the rewards that running your own business brings.
Whether you are starting out small and working from home, going into partnership with someone else or intending on investing in property and recruiting staff these tips are all applicable to you.

Systemise your business.
Start as you mean to go on with all systems in place from the beginning.
This will help to keep your business focused and it will also mean that when you come to sell the business it will be ready to sell.

Follow someone else's formula for success, or business model, to avoid making costly mistakes and to get yourself on the fast track to success.
Always learn from another persons success and failures.
Buy a good guide to follow, this does not mean that you have to go to the expense of a franchise which will limit your offer to your customers.

Whenever possible use suppliers who are recommended to you to avoid being ripped off.
This is a tip which is applicable for any business.
Chose your suppliers carefully.
Also get your customers to recommend you.
