How Do I Wash or Clean Microfiber Rags?
- 1). Rinse the microfiber under a faucet and wring it out several times to eliminate any excessive dirt.
- 2). Soak the microfiber in a sink or bucket with warm water and 1 tablespoon of mild detergent. Avoid using anything with bleach because this will break down the fabric.
- 3). Wash your microfiber by itself in a washing machine with detergent as needed. Especially avoid washing it with towels because microfiber will commonly pick up the lint off the towels. Avoid using fabric softener as this will disrupt the static electricity that the microfiber needs for maximum effectiveness.
- 4). Dry the rag in the dryer on a low setting or hang it up to get rid of remaining moisture. Excessive heat can melt the individual fibers and effect performance so ironing or high-heat drying is not recommended.
