How to Clean Baldwin Upholstery
- 1). Sprinkle a layer of baking soda over the upholstery surfaces. Be generous; baking soda is cheap. Let this sit undisturbed for an hour or two to absorb any odors.
- 2). Use an appropriate nozzle attachment on your vacuum cleaner to suck up all the baking soda.
- 3). Open windows and turn on any fans you have in the room to help the upholstery dry more quickly.
- 4). Fill the bucket with warm water, and add a generous squirt of dishwashing liquid. Saturate the cloth and squeeze the excess water out. It needs to be wet but not dripping.
- 5). Use the cloth to clean the upholstery surfaces using a dabbing rather than a rubbing motion. Try not to saturate the upholstery, and rinse the cloth often in the soapy water.
